Harvest of olives and new olive oil
The harvest of our olives is nearly finished. This year there is a good yield of fruit and of oil. Luckily there were very few damages to the fruit due to the olive fly. We have approximately 1,000 trees and the varieties are Frantoio, Moraiolo and Leccino (typical of Tuscany). The quality of the new oil is excellent.
New vineyard in the Montalbiolo zone.
We have plowed the soil for the planting of a new vineyard of the surface of 1 hectare. We will plant Sangiovese, depending on the weather, either in November or at the beginning of 2023.
The 2022 wines
The 2022 wines have completed the alcoholic fermentation and have been racked into steel vats (white and rosato wines) and in glazed cement vats (reds) where the malolactic fermentation will take place. All the wines are very elegant on the nose and in the mouth. There are all the conditions for 2022 to be an excellent vintage!
